Welcome to Canyon Cove Hotel & Spa
Canyon Cove Hotel & Spa, nestled along Far East Road in Piloto, Wawa, Nasugbu, Batangas, offers a refreshing beachfront escape with a 3.8-star rating that reflects both its charm and areas for growth. This resort stands out for its spacious rooms and scenic views overlooking Nasugbu Bay, making it a favored spot for family relaxation and beach enthusiasts alike.
Guests often praise the hotel's natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. The expansive outdoor pool and direct beach access create opportunities for leisurely swims and sun-drenched days on the sand. Families appreciate the kid-friendly amenities and attentive lifeguards, ensuring safety and comfort for visitors of all ages.
However, Canyon Cove is a place where patience rewards the traveler. The resort carries an old-world charm, occasionally showing signs of wear, and ongoing renovations suggest a commitment to improvement. Some experiences highlight the need for streamlined check-in processes and increased availability of beach cabanas to enhance convenience during peak seasons. Despite this, the spacious accommodations, featuring comfortable beds and air conditioning, offer a restful retreat after a day under the tropical sun.
Food at Canyon Cove presents a mixed review. While the beachfront bar and restaurant provide convenient dining, guests have noted that buffet options can be limited and on the pricier side, especially for vegetarians. Local eateries nearby might be the better choice for those seeking a wider culinary experience.
The resort’s location is a gateway to the natural wonders of Batangas. Just 33 km away, the protected landscapes of Mounts Palay-Palay-Mataas-na-Gulod invite hiking and exploration, perfect for those wishing to blend relaxation with adventure.
In essence, Canyon Cove Hotel & Spa is a compelling blend of rustic charm and coastal beauty that caters well to families and laid-back travelers. Its value lies in the serene beach access, spacious surroundings, and the promise of ongoing enhancements. For anyone seeking an uncomplicated, peaceful getaway by the sea with a touch of vintage Filipino hospitality, Canyon Cove remains a worthy choice.

We stayed here for 3 days. I'll say it's a very good place to relax with your family. The only unfortunate experience for me here is that there is a storm, and the banana boat and floats are not available so I just stayed on the pool and the beach sand.
Booked a day tour thru Klook at 248 pesos each. There were 3 of us including a 2yo. I paid for 3 as it was mentioned in Klook that same rate applies to all ages. But when we got to Canyon Cove, we were told 3yo and below are free of charge. Sayang yung 248 :) Cabana rental is at 1000 pesos. We arrived at 8am on a Monday and there was no cabana available. We availed the rattan table and chairs for 500 pesos - set up under the shade of the trees, just a few steps to the beach and pool, but quite a long walk to the shower room. Wish there were more food options available. Although we liked the chicken fillet and beef bulgogi at the korean kiosk - freshly cooked. We also got a maki at the japanese kiosk. The takoyaki at another kiosk was malansa, and the fries was a waste of money. I didn’t like the ham and cheese sandwich at the main restaurant as well. The beach and pool were clean. The vibe is peaceful and relaxing. Our experience was overall okay and we would probably come back for a quick escape, only 1 hour away from where we live.
Great Beach & Spacious Rooms, but Bring Your Patience (and a Mosquito Swatter!) We stayed here for a combined Birthday and Valentine’s celebration. While the natural beauty of the resort and the room size were impressive, the operational side during peak season definitely needs improvement. The Logistics (Lines & Check-in) We arrived at 4:00 PM expecting a short queue, but I was the 25th person in line. There is no priority lane, and 4 counters simply aren't enough for a surge. Check-out was similar; I was the 30th person in line at 11:20 AM, though the staff moved much faster then. Pro Tip: Bring extra patience and manage the expectations of seniors and kids in your group. The Room & Facilities The Superior Room is very spacious and can easily fit 2–4 people thanks to the day bed. The A/C was cold, and the shower had excellent water pressure and heat. However, cleanliness was a letdown. Our windows and mirrors were dusty, and the room was infested with mosquitoes. Pro Tip: Buy a mosquito swatter (around Php 150 at Ace Hardware) before you arrive. Also, bring extra blankets/towels if you are more than two people, as the day bed doesn't come with them. Dining & Beach The beach is the highlight! The shore is clean and well-maintained. We preferred the sea over the pools. Breakfast: Starts at 6:00 AM. Get there by 6:30 AM to avoid the lines. The food variety is okay, but the taste is quite ordinary. Dinner: The indoor restaurant is pricey (approx. Php 2,400 for 5 pax). Summary of Advice for Travelers: Arrive early to beat the check-in surge. Bring snacks and extra toiletries/rugs. Security Deposit: Prepare Php 2,000 in CASH per room to avoid the 7–10 day wait for credit card refunds. Duration: If coming from Manila, stay at least 3D2N to make the long drive worthwhile. Accessibility: The resort is wide—expect a lot of walking. Overall: A beautiful location with spacious rooms, but the management needs to add more counters and improve room sanitation to truly provide a 4-star experience.
It is OKAY. No complaints. Not the best, the kids and kids at heart had fun so nothing to say. Could use maintenance and fixing to some of the bits. Could use more beach side cabanas. Its what you would expect for its price. The room we were assigned to was good was spacious, kids love the window side bed. The food is there on the higher priced one. Would be best to go outside.
Old Timey, but it has its charms! Chef Chesfer recommended I give this place a shot. The place is really good! The beachfront is breathtaking! Taking into account that it looks like they are doing renovations. It's an old place, let's get that out of the way. But they are definitely working on it. For the price, and the service too! Bang for the buck! The Supervisor on duty, Sir Aaron, was very accommodating. Also, Ms.Trish, the receptionist at the desk, and Marjorie and JM in the restaurant. Food was not too bad too! A good selection on the buffet line. Few things to work on . Rooms - Faster Room Wi-Fi will definitely be a treat! especially for people working remotely such as myself. . Make it easier to reach out to the HK, FO or FNB if we have a request. ideally set up a phone system to make communication seamless .room service - would love to have room service on our next stay! . More fun activities! - The activity room is amazing! But something unique and fun can definitely get a lot of peoples attention! But overall, if you guys need a morale boost, you guys are doing one heck of a job! Give this place a chance. This was our second stay, and it won't definitely be the last! Good Job Team Canyon Cove! Keep up the hustle!
We stayed at Canyon Cove this October 2025, and overall, it was a relaxing getaway. The place still has that nice beach view and calm atmosphere perfect for family bonding. The pool area was clean and spacious, and the lifeguards were attentive, which made swimming with kids feel safe and enjoyable. The room we stayed in was comfortable and had a good view of the sea. Basic amenities were available, and the staff were polite and accommodating to our requests. Breakfast was decent, though the food selection could use a bit more variety. The beach itself was clean and peaceful during our stay, ideal for morning walks or watching the sunset. Canyon Cove remains a good choice for a short weekend escape from the city—simple, relaxing, and family-friendly.
Great experience. Booked on a weekday and it was still pretty lively and you can definitely relax. Not too far from the major town and shops. Beach is amazing, Pool is okay. You can tell the room is somewhat dated and old but it’s great for its price. Security deposit is abit too high (2,000 php) but its refundable so its okay. Food is costly but that’s normal since you need to drive to the closest stores or restaurants outside the resort. Just bring your own food. Breakfast buffet is good. Checkout process is quite long though. Overall, its a good stay for the price and the location.
Location and overall value is amazing. Rooms could use more cleaning, especially the restrooms. The breakfast place does not offer good food. If you don't have breakfast buffet coupons, the PHP 600 price is not worth it. Same with the dinner buffet which costs PHP 800. Food options are too limited, especially for vegetarians. To get a 5-star experience, only rely on this place for their beach, water activities, and a good bed to sleep in. Everything else, you'll find better alternatives in the barangays nearby which are a few mins drive away. The food carts near the beach offer better food. Expect to spend around PHP400-500 per person for a filling meal from these stalls. If you want to get the best deals and best quality food, just drive a few mins into the barangays wherein you could find a lot of great food options, both cheap and upper class. I had an issue with the photobooth wherein I paid the fee but got no photos in return. They refuse to give me an upfront refund as they said that the concessionaires are responsible for refunds. However, until now, 3 days after our stay, we are yet to receive any refunds. I wish they would just bear the temporary cost then deal with the reimbursement from their concessionaires later rather than letting their customers bear the cost. Despite all these issues, I'm still rating the place 5 stars due to the undeniable value that you get from the cost of your stay. There is plenty of on-site parking, there are ATMs in the hotel, there is wifi available in the rooms and in the lobby. However, only select rooms have WiFi v5 connection (which is 5x faster than their usual room wifi). They accept credit/debit card payments for the restaurants, food stalls, and water activities. We were able to work remotely without much issues during our stay.
